Identity Verification Requirements
Before we can form a company or provide related services on your behalf, we verify who you are. We do this to prevent fraud, to protect the integrity of our service and to help keep the UK company register accurate.
Why we ask for ID
Our checks follow UK anti-money laundering good practice, including Customer Due Diligence (CDD). Should we become subject to supervised anti-money-laundering obligations, our process and this page will be updated to reflect them.
What we typically ask for
- Proof of identity – a valid passport (photo page).
- Proof of address – a utility bill, bank statement or government letter dated within the last 3 months.
- For companies with corporate shareholders, information about the beneficial owners (the individuals who ultimately own or control the company).
How your documents are handled
- Documents are uploaded through our secure, encrypted portal.
- We use your information only to complete your order and to prevent fraud.
- We keep these records for 6 years after our business relationship ends, in line with UK tax record-keeping requirements, after which they are securely deleted. See our Privacy Policy.
If we cannot verify you
If we are unable to complete these checks, or if we have concerns, we may be unable to start or continue your order. Any advance payment is refunded less costs already incurred, as set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
